Are you a skier/snowboarder who goes to Blue Mountain ski resort in Ontario (2h off of Toronto)? Have you noticed that every time you google the weather or even if you refer to your weather apps, that the weather seems to be always wrong?

More specifically during winter, have you experienced that when you get to the ski resort, it seems like the temperature there is warmer (I’m talking +/- 5ºC)? Or like it’s saying that it’s snowing hard there only to get there and it’s actually not?

If you’re like me and you’re doing the same mistake(confusion), then boy do I have a PSA for you:

There are two separate places with the almost-exact same name:

There’s Blue Mountain, ON and there’s THE Blue MountainS, ON.

The ski resort (named Blue Mountain) you would think should be the former. Nope.
The ski resort is actually found in the location named “THE Blue MountainS, ON”

Blue Mountain, ON is some remote location more east, more north(ish). It’s east of Kawarthas. It’s more remote and it would make sense why it would always be colder.

Yup, had to learn this the hard way. If you google “Blue mountain weather” like me, chances are you’re probably loading the wrong one most of the time.
